Onemol-P tablet is a combination of two medicines: Aceclofenac and Paracetamol. These medicines work by blocking the action of chemical messengers responsible for pain, fever and inflammation (redness and swelling).

Aceclofenac
Aceclofenac belongs to NSAIDs (nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs). NSAIDs are being widely used throughout the world for their anti-inflammatory, analgesic and antipyretic activities. Aceclofenac is a newer NSAID that belongs to a phenylacetic acid group. It is also a prodrug of diclofenac sodium. Aceclofenac inhibits the COX (cyclo-oxygenase) enzyme which is responsible for the production of prostaglandins. Prostaglandins are inflammatory mediators that cause pain, swelling, redness, and fever. Aceclofenac is given orally as a tablet as well as a suspension. Aceclofenac has also been reported to be effective in other painful conditions such as dental pain, rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis and ankylosing spondylitis.

Paracetamol also belongs to NSAIDs (nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs).
Paracetamol is the most common medicine used for fever and pain. Paracetamol is often recommended as a first-line treatment for pain, as it is safe for most people and with very few side effects. It can be taken as tablets, capsules, liquids, soluble tablets, suppositories and injections. It is also known as acetaminophen. Paracetamol is a weak inhibitor of prostaglandins. But does not selectively inhibit COX-2, which is why inflammation is not suppressed by paracetamol. Its antipyretic effect makes paracetamol more prominent for the treatment of fever. Paracetamol reduces fever by direct action on the thermoregulatory center in the hypothalamus and inhibits the effects of endogenous pyrogens.
But paracetamol may also increase the risk of attention-deficit and hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). Fetal abnormalities caused by NSAIDs in humans have a low frequency. So, women taking Aceclo-Para combination in pregnancy should consult a gynecologist before using it.
Onemol-P tablet missed dose.
A dose as prescribed by the doctor should never be missed and should be taken as soon as you remember. But, if it is already time for the second dose, then stop taking the double dose, as it may lead to an overdose of the medicine.
Do not take more than one Onemol-P tablet.
